The 2016 Kia Optima is fully redesigned for 2016. The new Optima is slightly larger than the car it replaces, which translates to more interior and cargo space. Not only is the interior larger, but it's nicer than it's ever been, with a wide center console, more comfortable seats and more sound-dampening. Advanced driver-assist safety features are optional. The Optima will be offered with three engines when it goes on sale. The entry-level mill is a 2.4-liter GDI four-cylinder that makes 185 horsepower and 178 lb-ft. of torque. Mid-range models get a 2.0-liter GDI turbo four tuned to generate 247 horsepower and 260 lb-ft. of torque, while a downsized 1.6-liter turbo four that delivers 178 ponies and 195 lb-ft. of twist rounds out the lineup. The front fascia gets new headlights, new front-grille and big air intakes in the front bumper.
