Looking at today's automobiles, the amount of technology, features, and safety devices are astonishing, especially when compared to the cars that started the personal transportation revolution. Consider for a moment, that the three-point safety belt was not put into full production until 1959, and that gas gauges were not installed until a good 30 years after the automobile made its debut.
